A poem for Lisa

She drifted in from nowhere –
Out of the Blue and Green
Gathering friends around her
Painting her Rainbow scene

She sent me off to 'cuckoo-land'
And somewhere in-between,
But to penetrate my very soul
Was something unforeseen

'Vancouver Days' - her lovely ways,
She radiates a glow.....
Inspiring and beguiling me
Creating an undertow.

But then her wanderlust returns,
New Zealand was the calling –
Leaving me to contemplate
Would she ever be returning?

Perhaps, with time, the day will come
When surely she will see
The only place she'll feel at home
Is right here, and with me!

Unlikely? Well, of course it is!
The Horizon is her target,
As her relentless search begins
Another day of searching.

Although I only have one wish –
That we share our lives for ever,
Her needs, as such, do not include
Combining our endeavour.

So here am I, forced to admit
The one hope for my salvation
Is that she'll find her perfect Love
Within this very Nation.

And then with all that searching over
A simple message I will send her –
"Should your world collapse around you
I'll still be close on hand, to hold you.
